Importing Subscriptions in Clash Verge Rev, FlClash and CMFA

A subscription URL is the fastest route from a fresh install to a working proxy: you paste one link into your client, it downloads the complete configuration — servers, proxy groups and routing rules — and keeps everything refreshed automatically. If you are not sure yet what a subscription actually is, the short version: it is a URL that returns everything your client needs to connect.

The import flow looks a little different in each app, but the logic is identical everywhere: copy the URL from your provider, paste it into the client, pick a node, switch the proxy on. This tutorial walks through the three most popular mihomo-based clients — Clash Verge Rev on desktop, plus FlClash and Clash Meta for Android (CMFA) — and then covers the most common reasons a subscription import fails.

Before you start: copy the subscription URL

Log in to your provider's dashboard and look for a button labeled something like Copy subscription or Copy Clash link. If several formats are offered, choose the Clash / mihomo (YAML) variant — it works in all three clients covered here. Copy the full URL with no trailing spaces.

Import a subscription in Clash Verge Rev

1. Open Clash Verge Rev and go to the Profiles page.
2. Paste your subscription URL into the input field at the top and click Import.
3. When the download finishes, a new profile card appears. Click the card to make it the active profile.
4. Switch to the Proxies page and select a node inside your main proxy group.
5. Turn on System Proxy, then open any website to confirm traffic is flowing.

Import a subscription in FlClash

1. Open the Profiles section and tap the add button.
2. Choose URL as the import type and paste your subscription link.
3. Save it — FlClash downloads the configuration and lists it as a profile.
4. Select the profile, pick a node, and press the start button. On Android, accept the system VPN prompt the first time you connect.

Import a subscription in Clash Meta for Android

1. Tap Profiles on the home screen, then the + button to create a new configuration.
2. Select URL as the type, paste the subscription link, and give it a recognizable name.
3. Save, then tap the new configuration to select it.
4. Back on the main screen, tap the start button and allow the VPN connection request when Android asks.

Keeping the subscription up to date

Providers add, remove and rotate servers over time, so a subscription imported months ago will slowly drift out of date. Every client offers a manual Update action on the profile — use it whenever nodes start timing out or after your provider announces changes. Most clients can also refresh automatically: set an update interval on the profile (for example every 24 hours) and it will re-download the configuration in the background. After renewing a plan, trigger a manual update once so new expiry data and nodes come through immediately.

When the import fails

• Invalid or expired link. Re-copy the URL from the provider dashboard — links are sometimes reset after a plan change, and a partially copied URL will fail instantly.
• The subscription server is unreachable. On some networks the subscription domain itself is blocked. Try a different network (mobile hotspot is a quick test), or if another proxy is already working, enable it while importing.
• Format not recognized. If the provider gave you a share link meant for other apps, ask for the generic Clash-format subscription instead — that is what mihomo-based clients expect.
• Timeouts mid-download. Simply retry; large rule sets over a slow connection can fail on the first attempt.
